The never ending debate in the world of UFOlogy is "will we ever have full disclosure?". Will our government ever tell us the truth about the craft that are reported flying through our skies? The overwhelming opinion amongst researchers is that we eventually will, but when? Some are hopeful (not myself, however) that it will happen during the presidency of Obama. He has claimed that his presidency is the most "transparent" presidency in history, claiming that he wants to hide nothing, or as little as possible. I am not as hopeful as others are about this, but there does seem to be an overwhelming sense of hope that something will happen in the next four years to bring the subject to the front of the headlines. Other countries have already started large scale disclosure programs and are much more open with their citizens than the United States is. One belief behind our country's silence is that we are MUCH more advanced in our alien technology than these other countries are, and we aren't ready to reveal just how much we have gained from outside influence from alien races. According to some we have already back engineered and flown several craft that are mock-ups of the alien technology. It is said that our craft compared to theirs would be like comparing a model-T ford to a modern Ferrari. We cannot yet perfect the technologies, but we are closer than any other country (according to some) and this alone might be our reason for silence.
Recently there has been quite a stir over the Majestic 12 documents and MJ-12 as a group. What were these documents? They are claimed to be government documents that instruct special field agents on how to recover as much technology as possible from downed alien technology, and it has a very specific list of the way things should be carried out. A special "black-ops" military group was put in place to be in charge of such activities and this group was known as MJ-12. If you need a way to put it into perspective, these were an early incarnation of "The Men in Black". There were interplanetary phenomenon investigation groups in place as early as 1943 (pre-Roswell) and many other groups have carried out similar tasks. Groups organized to work in conjunction with Project Blue Book are good examples of such groups. If you follow the paper trail, it begins to become quite obvious that our government is concerned about alien craft and their capabilities even if they aren't willing to admit that they exist. The "downed craft" phenomena hit home in a major way in 1947 when the event at Roswell took place. This brought flying saucers onto the movie screens and television sets all across America and the term "flying saucer" became a house-hold word. What most people don't realize is that there have been many more cases of downed craft that our government has investigated, and groups like MJ-12 were created to handle all these cases. After Roswell, our government became tight-lipped about this topic, some say to the point of threatening the lives of witnesses (possibly TAKING the lives of others). But, if you believe what you hear about what was found in the wreckage at Roswell, you begin to see where some of the secrecy might come from. There were many VERY MAJOR inventions to come out in the years following the Roswell incident that might explain things. Colonel Philip J. Corso (passed away in 1998) claimed that we found and subsequently back engineered many technologies from the visitors including (but not limited to) fiber optics, night vision viewing, minituarized silicon circuits, composite ceramic materials, laser development/particle beam (SDI), stealth aircraft and unusually strong Kevlar™ type fabrics. (these are the claims of Col. Corso, not my claims. I have a hard time with some of them, especially since night vision was already in use during WWII and current technologies are based off the older models)
This field is full of quacks who make sensational claims that they cannot back up. It becomes quite tedious to wade through all the reports and claims of fact from some of these people. But, if you study the field long enough, you begin to pick out which people have the most credibility, and you tend to focus on those people and their reports. While researching this field I have also encountered people that I happen to believe that the world in general tries to defraud and discredit. Bob Lazar is one of these people. I tend to believe a lot of what Mr. Lazar says (not all of it, mind you) and I find him to be quite fascinating, especially if even half of what he says is true. Ocasionally you run across someone in this field who is a rare gem, someone who is credible and believable even though their stories seem so "crazy" and "out of this world". These people are the ones that really fascinate me and I want to focus this essay on the stories of one such person, Sgt. Clifford Stone formerly (?) of the United States Army.
Sgt. Stone tells an amazing tale, one that will be hard for some to believe. He tells a tale of how he was forced into a specialized group in the Army and forced to go on recovery missions for downed alien technology. He also tells of how he once helped one of these visitors escape. His story includes details about the lives of the aliens and talks about their cultures and lives in a way no one else has ever discussed. He talks about the religious views of the aliens and how all of the various species (50+ according to him) all have a belief in a God. (This, says Clifford, is why they are for the most part peaceful). He also talks a lot about technology and how we must grow spiritually as well as mentally when we develop new technologies because these devices bring great power and this power must be handled properly if we ever want to become a part of the universal community. Great technology in the hands of a spiritually primative culture would surely culminate in that society destroying itself, or others. He says one of the biggest areas of interest to the visitors is how we treat each other. They do not understand our war-like nature and the way we tend to destroy our own lives and bodies as well as the lives of our neighbors.
His story talks about our governments missions to recover alien technology and his role in those activities. The most fascinating part of his story to me is his discussions on the personalities and emotional range of the visitors, and their cultures and beliefs. When we are able to step back and see these visitors for what they really are it makes the idea of first contact seem a little less frightening. When you hear stories about the aliens and their wives and children and their religion...it makes them seem a little more...well, human. His story is fascinating to me in the same way a good science fiction movie can be, but in the case of Sgt. Stone something makes me BELIEVE him. Anyone who knows me will be quick to tell you that I WANT to believe everyone who talks of aliens and visiting craft, I'm a bit of a "nut" on this subject. But, after closer review I tend to throw out MOST of the things I hear, only keeping select bits of information to store away in my memories data banks. Clifford Stone is one of those such people. I am glad I heard the story of Clifford Stone and I wanted to share this story with the readers of my website.
Believe him, or do not. Of course, the choice is yours. But, even if you discount what he says take the time to listen to his story. I think that there will be parts of it that hit home, and make sense. If you are a thinking person, you must have an inclination to believe that we are not the only life in this universe. With that being said, you must also believe that it is possible for some of this life to be much more advanced than we are. A few decades ago we had no idea of any planets outside our own solar system (and we were sketchy about a couple of them). Now, in this day and age, we know of 330+ planets with dozens more being discovered each year. We also know now that there is a better than average chance that EVERY star you see in the sky has AT LEAST one planet that rotates around it. The possibility for billions of planets in our Universe, and some people believe that WE are the only ones out there? That, more so than the "crazy" stories of people like Clifford Stone, is hard for me to believe. The most secretive and strict organization in the world (The Catholic Church) has recently submitted that they expect life to be found outside our solar system and that they believe this in no way contradicts a belief in their God. To them, God does not create waste...and what a grand waste it would be if all that space were filled with planet after planet of nothing. Even in our solar system we are beginning to see the signs of life. Possible one-celled organisms and sea life on Mars as well as the continued speculation of life under the frozen seas of Europa, one of Jupiters Moons. Even in the confines of life within our solar system, rotating around our tiny star, we have found evidence for at least the basic building blocks of life. I ask you, is it such a hard stretch, then, to believe a story like the one told by Clifford Stone? For me, it is not.
To further the story of Clifford Stone, I found this to be an interesting juxtaposition. Most people on Earth tend to be afraid of aliens for fear of their agressive nature, and their supreme technology especially with weapons. Sgt. Stone says that WE are the evil ones and that there is much more evil on our planet than on the ones that are the homes of our visitors. He says that they want to KEEP us from hurting ourselves and that *most* (not all) of them are peaceful and nothing to be afraid of.
And with that, I will let Clifford speak for himself. The following links will tell his story in article, interview, and video format (or mp3 download if you prefer)
I like to add a footnote to all of my essays here which says that this is strictly based upon my opinions. All of my essays are more of a "thinking outloud" type work, and all I want people to do is listen, learn, and think. The Universe is an awfully big place and some people are content to know nothing about it. That boggles my mind. If my website does nothing else I want it to help people to think about the world around them and use something other than their eyes to base their opinions on. Humans were given the ability to reason, and on some, it is wasted. Take a few minutes away from the TV and the video games to actually ponder the thought of the Universe and what lies in wait out there. You might be fascinated with what you find.
